GENERAL GRANT PROGRAM
The Federation implemented a granting program in June 2006. General use grants up to $1,000 per quarter will be provided to Federation members during each grant cycle. The next deadline for applications is December 30, 2008.  The Federation greatly appreciates a donation to our grant program by The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).  Together, we are pleased to offer grants valued up to $2,000 per quarter.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Funded by a generous grant from the ASPCA, Federation members can benefit in two ways: Build your leadership skills by spending the year working with a mentor and receive on-site professional assistance as needed.

PET FRIENDLY LICENSE PLATE FUNDS GRANT PROGRAM
With the revenue from sales of the pet friendly license plates, The Federation is pleased to announce a granting program to fund state-wide spay/neuter assistance programs. Participation in the program is limited to Federation member agencies who also participate in the annual statistics survey.

DISASTER RELIEF PROGRAM

The Federation administers funds to help member agencies with Emergency Animal Relief in the event of a disaster or emergency.

ANIMAL CARE STATISTICS

The Federation annually surveys animal organizations throughout the state to compile state-wide statistics. As a member of the Federation, you will receive a copy of the survey results.

PACIFIC NORTHWEST ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL TRAINING

The Federation combines its efforts with the Washington Animal Control Association to provide valuable training for staff and volunteers. As a Federation member, you will receive a discount on registration fees. Organizations who join the Federation at the Supporting or Sustaining levels receive coupons for free registration.

REPRESENTATION IN OLYMPIA

The Federation, with assistance from Washington Capital Services, tracks legislation affecting animals and communities. The Legislative Committee is responsible for organizing support for or opposition to proposed legislation based on its impact on animals in the state.
