If you are interested in joining The Federation, here are only a few of the benefits you will have as a member:

  • Opportunities to Apply for Grant Funding:

The Federation administers a fund to grant money to member agencies to increase the total number of spay/neuter surgeries performed by their organization. Member agencies can also apply for Emergency Animal Relief funding in the event of a disaster or emergency. For example, to purchase a generator in the event of a flood.

  • Professional Development & Training:

Members receive notice of upcoming Federation sponsored regional trainings as well as lower, members-only registration fees. All Member organizations receive one $15 coupon towards a Federation-sponsored workshop.

  • Representation in Olympia:

The Federation maintains a presence in Olympia and tracks legislation affecting animals in our state. Members receive periodic updates on animal welfare legislative issues and have a voice in the promotion of animal welfare in Washington State. The Federation networks with local and national agencies to leverage the influence that our vast membership can have on policymakers.

  • Washington Animal Population Survey:

The Federation annually surveys animal organizations throughout the state to compile statewide statistics. Member agencies receive free on-line access to the survey results.
